Rainforest Cafe, London:Educational Tours in Support of Rainforest ConservationThe Rainforest Cafe in London is raising money for the World Land Trust while giving school children an exciting educational tour.
The World Land Trust has developed an educational tour for The Rainforest Cafe. The tour is designed for children up to 13 years. Its factual content is supported by the visual impact of the themed restaurant, allowing the children to experience what it is like to stand within a rainforest. What does the tour involve? One of the Cafe's trained Safari Guides, or a representative of the World Land Trust conducts the tour. The guide will stop at various key places in the cafe to talk about interesting facts and stories on the environment and animals on view (main species covered are elephants, gorillas, jaguars, parrots and frogs). The tour also includes a two course set lunch. The tour can be adapted for different age groups from 5-13 years old, and lasts up to 30 minutes depending on the group. Activity sheets and educational quizzes suitable to the age group are also provided, and each group will receive a free Focus on Forests educational pack. It’s not all monkey business…As part of the package, a donation will be made to the World Land Trust so that we can purchase acres of threatened rainforest* adjacent one of the Trust's reserves. So if you are a teacher or a student studying tropical forests, why not consider an educational experience that benefits conservation as well as being informative and fun.
