Flexiteek
With its head office in Sweden and manufacturing plant in the UK, Flexiteek introduced its innovative Flexiteek synthetic teak to the market in 2000 as a sustainable alternative to real teak boat decking for the marine industry.
Flexiteek continues to evolve so that future generations of the product line incorporate the most environmentally-friendly raw materials. The most recent version, Flexiteek 2G panels are manufactured using a REACH compliant phthalate-free plasticiser which is fully recyclable and UV stabilised.
Today the company has more than 100 distributors across 48 countries including Wilks, in Essex, which has been in operation since 1973. Flexiteek acquired Wilks in 2019, providing them with high-quality manufacturing and R&D facilities. The Wilks’ factory is equipped with granulators to recycle their waste for reintegration within their production process, significantly reducing the amount of material to be recycled externally.
