Operation Ocelot Operation Ocelot Mobile

A message from Steve

Hi everyone, Steve Backshall here. Did you know that around 90% of the coastal forests of eastern Africa have already been lost? Within this little-known global biodiversity hotspot, the Dakatcha Woodland stands out as a crucial Key Biodiversity Area and is in dire need of our help. That’s why Operation Ocelot’s Mission Three has been called in to help save this amazing forest. Now, don’t worry, we know there aren’t Ocelots in Kenya, but there are Endangered Golden-rumped Elephant Shrews and Sokoke Scops Owls – wonderful animals that need our support. Operation Ocelot Mission Three will help fund the expansion of the A Rocha Dakatcha Nature Reserve, creating a sanctuary for hundreds of extraordinary and rare species.
