This is not your average half marathon! From iconic cultural landmarks and heritage to the city’s quirky and hidden secrets, the London Landmarks Half Marathon will give you the chance to see the capital like never before while saving threatened wildlife and habitats with WLT.

Peak District
Ultra Challenge– 06 & 07 July 2024 –
Take on the fabulous Peak District as a walk, jog or a run, and you’ll get the famous ‘Ultra Challenge’ support & hospitality all the way – enabling you to push yourself further. From the Bakewell basecamp the full 100 km challenge heads out past Chatsworth House, and on through varied terrain on a figure of 8 route with some stunning views. With half, quarter & 10-mile challenge options also available, plus optional camping packages at basecamp – there’s an unforgettable Ultra Challenge weekend for everyone!
North Downs 50
Ultra Challenge– 27 July 2024 –
Walk, Jog, or Run the ‘North Downs 50’ challenge for 2024 –with a fabulous challenge setting out from our Guilford basecamp. Choose from the full 50km challenge, a 25km half, or even a 10km – all taking in some of the best of the Surrey hills, the North Downs Way, and the surrounding countryside.
South West Coast 50
Ultra Challenge– 03 August 2024 –
Walk, Jog, or Run the ‘South West’ challenge for 2024 – taking in the first Minehead section of the stunning & famous 630 mile Coastal Path, and with an extensive ‘basecamp’ in the shadows of the impressive Dunster Castle. Pick your distance, with the full 50km loop, a 25km half challenge, or even the short & sweet Dunster 10km!
London Summer Walk
Ultra Challenge– 24 August 2024 –
Get active & explore some of the Capital’s historic areas with a tour of the ‘gateway to London’ along the Thames’s eastern section. Starting alongside the grandeur of Woolwich Royal Artillery Barracks (short walk from the new Elizabeth Line station!) – our 25 km looped route heads through Charlton, along the Thames Path around the Greenwich Peninsula – past the O2, Old Royal Naval College & the fabulous Cutty Sark. A route steeped in history with iconic sights, and capped with a BBQ & bar at the finish – making for a wonderful end of summer celebration!
What can I do?
There are many ways that you can fundraise for World Land Trust (WLT) and support global conservation.
From running a marathon to hosting a quiz night, celebrating a birthday to organising a bake sale at work, with a little bit of imagination the possibilities are endless and there is something to suit everybody.

‘RAINFOREST SAVIOUR’ TOBIAS
Fearless climber takes on Lake District peaks to raise £1,100 for the life of Borneo
“I decided to help protect the planet because it is being destroyed by people and it cannot save itself, and I learned that it’s easier to try fundraising than I thought”
WLT would like to extend a big thank-you to Tobias, the intrepid climber who took on more than 10 Lake District peaks during summer 2021 so that our partner HUTAN could extend a network of protected corridors of orangutan habitat in Borneo.
Tobias thought he’d raise £500 towards the protection of the Bornean rainforest he’d visited two years before – and yet he ended up raising £1,100 (or 220% of his target)! We at WLT thought our Borneo appeal would raise enough (£150,000) to save two plots of rainforest. Thanks to people like Tobias, the £420,000 we raised will save up to five.
Tobias and all our other supporters are the living proof: when we act to save nature, we make far more impact than we think.
