Bird Holidays

Based in Leeds, Bird Holidays is one of the UK’s leading birdwatching and wildlife tour operators, offering sustainable excursions, safaris and cruises to more than 40 countries across the world, with an emphasis on working with local business. Operating since 1991, all holidays are lead by one of six professional and experienced bird guides, in conjunction with local guides.

Through contributions to WLT’s Carbon Balanced programme, Bird Holidays has offset the projected emissions of flights taken by its tour guides and clients for a 20 year period between 2006 and 2026. Bird Holidays contributions have funded the purchase and protection of a reserve in their name, as well as tree planting, in Yanacocha, Ecuador where WLT works with local partner Fundación Jocotoco.
