An evening of conservation and cuisine

Join us for an unforgettable evening hosted by acclaimed and extremely talented chef, food writer, and broadcaster Maria Elia, who has generously opened the doors to her beautiful Suffolk barn in support of World Land Trust.

If you haven’t come across World Land Trust (WLT) before, we’re one of the UK’s leading conservation charities and have long been supported by Sir David Attenborough, who has been a Patron for many years. Our approach is beautifully simple: we work alongside trusted local conservation partners to protect some of the world’s most threatened habitats before they are lost forever. From tropical rainforests and cloud forests to wetlands and grasslands, our work helps protect wildlife, support local communities, and tackle climate change by safeguarding the landscapes on which we all depend

MARIA ELIA

For Nature’s Table, Maria has created a Mediterranean-inspired menu using the very best seasonal Suffolk produce, celebrating the incredible farmers, growers and artisan producers we have on our doorstep. Nature’s Table is about more than a wonderful meal. It’s about celebrating the connection between food, landscapes and conservation, and bringing people together around one table to support something that really matters.

LUCY SHEPHERD

We’re delighted to welcome explorer, filmmaker and World Land Trust Ambassador Lucy Shepherd. Drawing on her experiences from some of the world’s most remote and threatened places, Lucy will share stories from the field and offer a unique perspective on why protecting nature has never been more important.

Local Produce

We’re delighted that a number of Suffolk producers are joining us to help bring the evening to life, including Tosier Chocloate, whose ethically sourced cacao beautifully reflects the connection between exceptional chocolate and healthy tropical forests. And Suffolk Sea Salt, whose hand-harvested sea salt creates the unique character of our coastline.
